Aran Valley has been start and finishing point of the most important cycling competitions. Live the experience of making top in the most iconic ports of the Pyrenees.

This experience will take you to the most legendary climbs of the Pyrenees. Conquer the Tourmalet or the Col de Peyresourde. Along the way you will enjoy spectacular scenery and charming villages.

Day 1
Briefing at the shop, where the details are explained and the bicycles will be regulated

Day 2
Portilhon 62km (+ 583m)

n this first stage, we will get to Bossost to climb the 8,5 km of Portilhon Pass where, on its top is the border with France. Having climbed 583 meters from its lowest point with a 7’1% of average slope.

Then, we will descend 10 km until we reach Bagneres-de-Luchon. In this point we will start leaving the valley until we get to Cierp, in this point we can choose between going up Col des Ares (330 m+) in 8,5km or going back.

Day 3
Col de Mente y Portet d’ Aspet 67,4km (+ 1580m)

Starting from the French town St. Beat, we climb Col de Menté during 9’5km. Then we start the descent till Pont de l’Oule. In this point we will start the ascent of the second pass: Portet d’ Aspet, 5,4 Km with a 7,1% average slope.

Once in the top, we will unfold the way to Pont d’ Oule and continue with a very pleasant ride till Cazanous, where we will start the ascend of the last pass: Col des Ares.

Day 4
Tourmalet (+ 1455m)

The most iconic mountain pass of the Pyrenees and the one with the most appearances in the Tour de France, since 1910.

In this stage, the starting point will be Luz-St-Sauveur, settled next to Gave de Pau river. In this point we will start to feel our legs overload after 10 km in continuous ascent.

Once we cross Luz, the first Kilometer will allow us to take a breath before starting an ascent that will never go below 7%.

In the Km 7, after some ramps and curves, we will get to Barèges then, after some very hard ramps, we will get to the final “Z” and start to believe reaching the top is possible.

In short, 1455 meters of ascent to reach the Olympus os cycling.

Day 5
Port de la Bonaigua + Beret (+ 1506m)

We will start this ascension from the Aranese capital of Vielha. We will differentiate two parts: the first one, a long false plain that will take us to Salardú. Then, 14,2 km to reach the top very regulars at 6%.

One in the top (2.072m) we will go down to reach Baqueira again, where we will start the 350m of ascension to finally reach Play de Beret, end of Stage in 2006 Tour de France.
